Preschool Series - CREATION

In this series, children will learn that God created a very good world for us to care for and enjoy. Children will discover that out of his great love, God created all things. We live in God’s world, made in his image, and as we live we can share his love.

"God saw everything he had made. And it was very good." Genesis 1:31

God created a very good world.

(from Genesis 1:31)

Kindergarten to Grade 6 Series - CREATION

In this series, kids will discover that we can see God's fingerprints on every part of creation. He is the ultimate artist. He designed an amazing world for us to take care of, a place for us to be creative, and a place for him to hang out with us. This series rolls back time to the very beginning to help us understand who we are in connection to God and his great desire to be in relationship with us.

Ever since the world was created it has been possible to see the qualities of God that are not seen. I’m talking about his eternal power and about the fact that he is God. Those things can be seen in what he has made.

Romans 1:20

Kindergarten - Grade 3

Give your child about 30 seconds to describe their favourite experience from this summer.

Point out that God provided some amazing experiences for everyone this summer.

We are starting a new series about how creative God is!

Genesis 1:1-25

God Story ... God Makes the World

He designed it all perfectly, from darkness and light to octopuses and other creatures we could never dream of!

Play Charades!

Write the words below on cards. Place the pile of charades cards face down. Explain that each card shows something amazing that God made. Have you child choose one card and not show it to anyone. Then they’ll silently act it out like charades.

Shark Tree Giraffe Fish

Bird Horse Elephant Butterfly

Pray and thank God for the many wonderfully creative things he’s made, including us!

God spoke and created everything.

Grades 4-6

God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. When he said, “Let the skies be filled with birds of every kind,” the birds appeared!

If you could say anything and know that it would happen, what would you say? (e.g., “Let me have a puppy!” or “Let me be as awesome at basketball as LeBron James!”)

God spoke and created everything.

How amazing is God’s creativity and power!

Read Genesis 1:1-25

Write a list of the possible ingredients or materials you need to make

chocolate chip cookies? If you were going to assemble a car, what

materials would you need? What would you need to build a house?

God didn’t need any of these materials: God spoke and created everything!

What’s something creative you’re good at or like to do? Can you imagine being the best in the world at it?

Where do you think the most beautiful place in the world is?

God made every single one of the places named—plus plenty more we don’t even know about!

Look up Romans 1:20

What do you think it means when this verse refers to God’s “invisible qualities” (NLT) or the “qualities of God that are not seen” (NIRV)?

Although we can’t see God physically, we can learn so much about him through creation. We see God’s amazing attention to detail, his power, and his creativity.

Grade 7-9 Series - CREATION

God designed an amazing world for us to take care of, a place for us to be creative, and a place for him to hang out with us. This series rolls back time to the very beginning to help us understand who we are in connection to God and his great desire to be in relationship with us.

God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him. The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone.

John 1:3-4 (NLT)

Grades 7-9

If you could simply speak and create just one thing, what would it be? Why?

What thoughts or questions do you have (or have you had before) about creation?

God spoke and created everything.

Read John1:1-5

What is this passage talking about?

Who or what is the Word?

What’s the importance of verse 4?

How is the Word still giving life to everything?

How is Jesus at work in you?

In which areas might you want or need to let Jesus into in your life?

Do you “let him” come to school with you?
