Preschool Series - GOOD NEWS

In this series, children will learn about the good news message of Jesus! Children will discover that Jesus shows us God’s love, saves us from sin, sets up God’s kingdom, and does it all so we can be with God forever.

“Tell the good news to everyone.”

Mark 16:15b (ICB)

"The Kingdom of Heaven"

A story narrated by Lu ❤️

The good news is we can be with Jesus forever.

God's Story - Re-creation

God promised to create a new world for his family. It will be so perfect and joyful, we will forget all the pain we experience now. We don't know exactly what it will be like, but God gives us an idea in Isaiah 65:17, Romans 8:18-25, 1 Corinthians 15:24-28, 42-58, and Revelation 1, 5, and 21-22

Kindergarten to Grade 9 Series - THE STORY

In this series, students get the opportunity to experience all of God's big connected story—from creation through to the new church to us!

Christ suffered once for sins. The one who did what is right suffered for those who don’t do right. He suffered to bring you to God.

1 Peter 3:18

Kindergarten - Grade 3

Who helps you at home? Who helps you at day camp or school? When you need help, who else can you ask?

God sent the Holy Spirit to help us follow Jesus.

What was the Life Story about in today’s video? What was the God Story about?

Remember that the Holy Spirit was given to the believers with a huge gust of wind. The Bible says people had flames of fire appear on top of their heads!

Explain that we can’t see the Holy Spirit, but we feel the Spirit inside us.

Make windsocks (similar to kites) to help them remember that when we say yes to following Jesus, we get the Holy Spirit in us, too!

Grades 4-6

If someone started watching your favourite movie halfway through, how would you help them follow the story?

God sent the Holy Spirit to help us follow Jesus.

What was the Life Story about in today’s video?

What was the God Story about?

Point out that we have a lot of things to prioritize (e.g., schoolwork, family, friends, activities, entertainment, etc.).

These are all good things, but there’s only one thing Jesus told us to do: go and make disciples. That means tell people about him. The Holy Spirit will help us!

Grades 7-9

Have you ever used a map, compass, or GPS to get yourself somewhere? (Not your parents—you!) If yes, why did you need directions?

Have you tried geocaching? Did you ever doubt where you were going? How did you know you were on the right track?

Is there some part about following Jesus that’s difficult for you? If so, what is it?

God sent the Holy Spirit to help us follow Jesus.

Read John14:15-27

Point out that Jesus said this before he was put on the cross. Why do you think Jesus promised the Holy Spirit to his disciples instead of simply sending the Holy Spirit after he left the earth?

According to Jesus, what does the Holy Spirit do? What do you know about the role the Holy Spirit took on after Jesus left the earth?

What is the Holy Spirit doing now? When we talk about“hearingGod”or sensing a nudge or something from God, we’re really talking about the Holy Spirit.

Have you ever had an experience in which you’d say the Holy Spirit was at work? Don't stress about it if you haven’t had one of these experiences yet. We all encounter God in different ways. Sometimes, we don’t even realize how God is at work!
