Preschool Series - ENCOURAGEMENT

In this series, children will learn from the life of the Apostle Paul. Children will discover the importance of encouraging one another in Christ. Children will learn that they can be encouraged, and they can be encouragers.

In this series, kids will discover that while most certainly a confusing book of the Bible, Revelation shows us that Jesus is worth worshipping and that forever with him is going to be amazing.

May you have power together with all the Lord’s holy people to understand Christ’s love.

Have you ever been corrected by someone, such as a parent or a teacher? What happened? How did you feel?

Is it easy to be corrected? Why or why not?

When was a time that somebody really encouraged you?

How did you feel?

Jesus is worth worshipping.

What does it mean to worship Jesus? How do we do it?

Grades 4-6

In the God Story, who was getting corrected and encouraged? (churches)

Do you think the Holy Spirit still corrects and encourages churches today? (yes)

If Jesus was to give our group one encouragement, what do you think it would be?

If Jesus was to give our group one correction, what do you think it would be?

What does it mean to worship Jesus? How do we do it?

Grades 7-9

Who encourages you the most? Can you remember something that someone said that really put life into you?

Is there anyone you try to encourage? If so, who? How do you encourage them?

Who corrects you when you’re wrong or when you mess up?

How does being corrected make you feel? Are you glad to be redirected onto the right track or can it be difficult?

Sometimes we talk about our conscience or a little voice inside us that tells us what’s right and wrong. Have you ever considered that it’s the Holy Spirit correcting and guiding you? Does that shift your understanding of the Holy Spirit in any way?
